Chuck it!

I pulled out the Chuck It tonight to throw the tennis ball for the big guys. At first, I didn't even have a tennis ball in and they were still jumping up and down they were so excited. They're passed out now, no more panting sounds. :)

Fruits of our labor

We noticed this spring that our cherry tree had quite a few blossoms. In the craze of all of my recent travels, I had forgotten to check for actual fruit. I went out today and saw that the tree was pretty loaded. So I did some picking!

The colander is totally full! We were pretty excited. They are yummy.
Jason worked on the gates on the right side of the wall today. It is done and totally operational.
We had a mason come out yesterday, we need to get some of the cracks filled in before setting all of the capstones. I think it looks great. I can't wait to tear down that eyesore of a crappy painted gray fence!
We didn't do too much this weekend. Jason helped Bill with haying yesterday and I had a sorority event. I spent today cleaning and doing all kinds of fun things around the house.

Thoughts and prayers requested

One of my best friends, Angie, lost her brother in a motorcycle accident early this morning. She is obviously devasted. She was maid of honor in our wedding. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Happy 4th of July!

We had originally planned to go to Ellensburg this weekend for some festivities with the Oergel family. Due to the possibility of needing to hay and the cost of gas, we headed to Rainier to camp with the dogs. It was pretty spur of the minute, our friends Jerry and Jenn joined us for the weekend though.

His highness.
Can you see how dirty they are? And that's AFTER jumping in the river!
Roscoe's favorite place, the sand pit
Fonzie sure does have the life eh?
Please don't take us home, we promise that we'll listen.
Oh please mom, please throw the buoy!
Duke got it!
A successful family portrait!
You expect me to get wet?
A mama duck swam through with her babies.

Jenn and I sampled some Mint Baileys, yum!
Duke was exhausted.
So was Roscoe.
Fonzie just wanted to go home.
Roscoe was happy to be home in his own bed.

Phi Mu National Convention

So the real reason for my trip to Florida was to attend my sorority's national convention in Orlando. I am President of the Seattle Alumnae Chapter and went to represent my group. I had a blast!
Here I am after the opening dinner with Lindsay.

My group won the Outstanding Alumnae Newsletter award. I was pretty pumped since I worked on the newsletter prior to becoming President.
All of the girls from my chapter at the Convention with our banner.
Lindsay and I with a lion (my sorority's mascot) at Universal Studios. I was so pleased that it was raining in Florida!

I got to get my picture taken with Dana Ivey, she's a Phi Mu and was a speaker at a dinner.

Again, all of the Gamma Zeta girls at the Sisterhood Luncheon. Dress code called for the hats, wasn't our idea.

Leana won for Outstanding Advisory Council Member, she's a Financial Adviser for a chapter in PA.
All of us again at the awards banquet.

My old roommate, Stephanie (the pregnant one) and also a Phi Mu stopped by to say hi to us. She was in Orlando for the Kiwanis Convention. It was great to see so many of my girls but I was ready to come home to Jason and the boys!

My visit to Vero, my old home

Sorry for the long MIA on the blog posting but I have been so busy trying to get caught up with everything. I had no idea that I was so important!

I got to meet up with my two best friends from junior high and high school, Ty and Carrie.
I got to meet Carrie's two little cuties, Heather and Cate.
I had lunch with my old boss and a former co-worker.
My friend Joe got married to an amazing girl named Mandy, they had me over for dinner.
The beach, my how I've missed the beach!
My Aunt Holly and I at the Driftwood Inn.

Construction on the beach, everything was wiped out during the hurricanes.
Me, Bud and Holly.
I also got to have dinner actually up on Orlando with some of my other friends from high school.
It was great to catch up with Eugene, Eric and Leonard. I've known these guys since I was 15 and they've always been like my little brothers.
