Brunch....

We went to brunch at the Ikon Grill in downtown Seattle last weekend with Uncle Troy and Aunt Sarah.

Lollipops...

Jeff got his THIRD hair cut last weekend. We bribed him with a lollipop to get him to sit still and it worked. He thought it was pretty darn good.

And the cake pans...

I'm on a mission to find every possible kind of camo....Jeff is on a mission to destroy the kitchen any chance he gets!

Yum....sugar cookies

I baked sugar cookies for Halloween and Jeff got his first taste of them. He had black icing all over his nose and face.

The utensil drawer...

Someone has found the utensil drawer and I can't keep him out of it. The spoon in this picture has actually been moved into the car to play with on the drive to and from day care.

Dinner with the Sheets

We had Kim, Colby, Elleanor and Baylor over for dinner a couple weeks ago. We've been trying to get together since August with Baylor was born and have been super busy. I got a baby fix. Elle and Jeff had a great time playing together.

Down for the event

We went down to Rainier for the Equestrian event. We didn't spend a lot of time with the horses but Jeff got to be around the girls down at Carrie's house.

Daphne was so cute sitting right next to the girls waiting so patiently to see if they would give her any food.

October means Halloween clothes!

He lost the pants but he kept the monster shirt on. I have had so much fun shopping for Halloween clothes for him!

Like meeting a celebrity for me...

As anyone who reads this should know, I am still very active with my sorority. Most of my close friends are sorority sisters from college and it's something that I'm still really into after almost 15 years out of college. Some National officers were in town this weekend to visit with alumnae and I had the extreme pleasure of getting to have dinner with them last night and attend a reception this afternoon. At dinner last night, I was sitting across from our National President. She's an amazing woman and has so much enthusiasm for our organization. Not to mention the fact that she's a volunteer and doesn't get paid to do such a huge job, we're so lucky to have her. I had to get my picture taken with her, this is like getting my picture with an actual celebrity in my book. I have to give a shout out to Jason for watching Jeff so I could go to both events and not complaining about it!

Putting on a brave face...

We had a sick baby on our hands last weekend. Jeff had a 103 fever last Saturday which really freaked mom out. It was just a cold (so they told me at urgent care on Sunday). I ended up staying home with him on Monday and Jason stayed home with him on Tuesday. He seems to be on the mend now.

Klondike bars

Someone has discovered just how yummy Klondike bars are. He's not super interested in the ice cream but really likes the chocolate!

Labor Day weekend

We went down to Rainier on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. There were kids everywhere. Jeremy and Jenn were down with their 4. Jenn's twin Stephanie joined in the fun with her 3 boys. Allyson and Emma joined in on the action as well. Later in the day, Russell and Shauna brought their water slide pool along with their 2 boys and their niece and nephew. Good times were had by all, everyone slept really well that night especially the dogs. :)

The water table

Grandma and Grandpa got Jeff a water and sand table for his birthday. We decided no sand this year since we're pretty sure that he would eat it not play with it. So we decided, water only for this year at least. Jeff loved playing in the water!

Messy boy....

He LOVES that Rice A Roni!

Whidbey Island

We went to my sorority Executive Council retreat up on Whidbey Island back in August. Jason caught some salmon, Jeff had a great time in Reggie's swimming pool and his new wagon and I had a great time hanging with the girls. We had absolutely amazing weather, it was the perfect day.

Trying to walk

Little man is doing his best to walk. He loves pushing around his lion. He pushes it back and forth. Sometimes he chases the dogs with it and they run!

Jamming

We had planned on getting our pickles done in mid-August. Unfortunately, the cucumber crop had other plans for us. I had already arranged for Wendy, Troy and Michael to help us so we made jam instead.
Michael had all kinds of country adventures. He got to go to the Dell's in Yelm and Mountain Lumber, a couple more things to check off the bucket list!
We got quite a bit done, it was a very productive day.

Meeting Emily and Nathan

Our friends Art and Lisa adopted 2 kids last year. We have been trying to get together forever so the kids could meet. Jeff and Emily got along famously. Nathan is older and I think he was over the whole baby thing. Plus, Jeff kept knocking down his train tracks. We told him this was part of the reason we called him Jeffzilla.

July 2011

Catching up.....Little man is quite a nut. He loves getting into everything - the kitchen cupboards, the magnets on the fridge, the toilet water, the dog's water....
And he likes to eat, some of it even makes it into his mouth!
And his relationship with the dogs has improved exponentially now that he throws food off of high chair on a daily basis.
He loves his toys.
And boy is he cute!

Makenzie's 1st Birthday Party

We went to Makenzie's 1st birthday party at the end of July. Makenzie and Jeff are 11 days apart in age. Makenzie was 6 weeks early though so there's a pretty big size difference.
There were cupcakes galore.
Makenzie thought they were delicious.

Jeff thinks I'm a jungle gym.
