Beach Blanket Bingo

I'm leaving tonight on a redeye to Florida. Pray for me that I get some sleep on the plane. I am flying into Orlando and will be there at 7:30 AM EST (translation 4:30 AM PST). Jason is staying home with the dogs. Poor Fonzie has pink eye! The rest of the bricks were delivered today so Jason will have plenty to keep himself busy while I'm gone! I will try to post while I'm on vacation!

Clean blankies!

So before I tell the story, I have to ask - why do they give you so many frickin pillows when you get new furniture? When we checked out these couches in the showroom, there were 2 on 1 couch. That seemed pretty reasonable. We get our sofa and loveseat and there are FOUR pillows on each, a total of 8 pillows. I think it's overkill personally (obviously!) so the extra 6 pillows are always thrown on the other couch. Tonight, I got the fleece blankets out of the dryer and kinda tossed them on to the couch. Fonz saw this as his opportunity to reclaim his throne. After I got out of the shower, you could totally see a dip in the blankets just in the shape of his little hot dog body where he had made his bed. Too cute, I had to share with everyone!

Rome wasn't built in a day...

Bill and Edgar came up this afternoon to help with the wall. Unfortunately, we ran out of bricks. The dogs "helped" too. Duke is passed out at the top of the stairs. We ended up having Carrie, Edgar, Bill, Gloria and Shauna stay for a scrumptious steak dinner. Happy Fathers' Day to all the dads out there!

A day in the country

Rascal was hoping for a quiet day in the saddle, no such luck!
Bryce and Alexa played with Fonzie.
Bryce has a mean throwing arm for that tennis ball!
Alexa rode the rocking horse.
Grandma and Bryce roasted weinies over the fire.
Daphne was misunderstood as usual.

The dogs ran a race.
Alexa loves the horses.

Fonzie rode in the wagon with the kids.
The dogs and kids played in the swimming pool.
A nice day in the country.
Roscoe was exhausted. I took this picture from the drivers seat without looking, it didn't come out too bad!

Another brick in the wall

The bricks finally arrived from Lowe's on Friday when we were gone and Jason started building the wall today. This will replace our fence along the front of the house. Notice the level, ever the engineer!
It's looking pretty good so far!

Rib night

Mac was totally wiped out early in the night.
Looks like Harley is too!
Tom and Remi playing Yahtzee. We had a fabulous rib dinner with Tom, Stacie, Jerry and Jen then played Cranium Wow and some Yahtzee.

Congratulations Olivia!

Olivia graduated from High School on Friday night. Jason and I made the drive down to Ridgefield for the occasion. We stayed the night down there and headed back early yesterday to make it to rib night last night!

Pepperoncinis

So it probably seems like we really pick on Roscoe but we don't. He's just the more obviously goofy dog. Every time we get Papa John's Pizza, we try to give the pepperoncini to all of the dogs. They have all made the mistake of taking it at least once. Duke just makes a funny face and runs away. Roscoe actually crouches down, barks and does laps. And he does this EVERY time we get pizza. It's hysterical....

Here he is after things have calmed down, he was exhausted from the obvious trauma!

The same thing happens every night

Remember the Bill Cosby "Himself" concert? He talked about his kids and how the same thing happened every night and how his wife would snap every night. This is our version of it. Roscoe likes to take Fonzie's toy and thinks it's fun, Fonzie does not think it's funny and he tries to bite Roscoe's lips off.
