Who's longer?

I have been wanting a picture like this my whole pregnancy. Jeffrey isn't quite stretched out enough to see his full length. He was sleeping and I was not waking him up for that! Fonzie wins the length contest for now but not by much. Fonzie is 22 inches long, Jeffrey is 21 inches long (hospital got it wrong according to our pediatrician). Fonzie is being very good about sharing mom with baby.

Guard dog

Roscoe is most enthralled and curious by our little man. He sits in front of the swing and watches him.

Every day is a new adventure

Jeffrey likes his swing, the dogs like that they can easily walk up and lick him if he's sitting in it and it's not moving.
I got to take a nap (for 2 hours!) this morning curled up with our little peanut and the Fonz. The hot dog has been most accepting of his new brother. Fonz chewed up a package of Boogie Wipes soon after we got home and was heavily reprimanded. No other incidents to report at this time.
Boy does he love Dad, he's quite the snuggler!

Our expanding family

We came home from the hospital yesterday with Jeffrey, very excited to introduce him to his 3 brothers. As you can see, they were pretty curious about him. Dogs have been great helpers and jump up at his every noise and have been giving him lots of kisses.

He's here!

We're happy to announce that our beautiful son arrived a week early on July 11th at 2:04 AM. Jeffrey Sean weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz and measured 20.75 inches. He has a full head of hair and couldn't look more like his dad. Labor was a little tough, I had to have a c-section. We're home from the hospital now and enjoying our new life at home with him and the dogs.

It's tough....

but somebody has to do it. I love how the dogs just spread out all over the house and pass out. They usually open their eyes when they hear the camera though....

Resting

I realized that I needed to get a picture of this all too common occurrence last weekend. You can't really tell but I'm totally curled up with my body pillow. Fonzie comes up and get in bed with me and lays half on the body pillow and half on pregnant belly. Eventually, he gets too heavy on my stomach since baby has gotten so big and we have to readjust. I just think it's so cute that he snuggles with both of us even though he probably doesn't totally realize that he's snuggling with baby.

Holy smokes!

I've had more requests for belly shots so here you go. We managed to get my other boys to pose too so I'm actually happy with the picture. When I looked at the size of my stomach, I realized just how much I am in denial about how huge I really am. My tummy really doesn't look this big when I look down at it every day. It's the side angle that does it justice!
