New camera!

We were seduced by the camera on sale at Costco. Here are some test pictures I took of the men in my life! I tried to put in a picture of Duke by himself but the picture kept rotating to where it looked like he was hanging upside down. Oh well.

Turkey Day!

We spent Thanksgiving down in Rainier with our favorite "little turkey". Even Fonzie enjoyed her company, you can see him giving her a kiss! She is getting so big and looked so cute in her outfit that auntie bought for her!

Jack-O-Lantern

We have a fabulous dogsitter, Ryan, and he loves Fonzie. His girlfriend, Amanda, also caught dachshund fever. Amanda talked her dad into getting her a puppy for Christmas which she got early. They picked him on Halloween from the same kennel where we got Fonzie. Hence, he is their little Jack-O-Lantern. They brought Jack by last weekend to meet our doggies. He is SO cute. Fonzie was quite bent but still tried to play with him. It didn't last too long though. Since he's a puppy, he crashed out after about an hour of "playing." If I ever win the lotto, we will have a dachshund farm!

The best kind of sandwich...

is a dachshund sandwich! We were making Kahlua and cakes in a jar last weekend. Bob and Patti brought their dachshund, Rex. He wanted to play with Fonzie but he was not really interested. Eventually, they were both looking for a lap to sleep in!

Poor Yellow Dog!

In his infinite wisdom, Roscoe jumped out of the Gator when it was moving pretty fast today. He scraped his eye pretty good and his chin. He's okay. We will be cleaning his wounds with peroxide later, it ought to be a blast!

Growing like a weed

I traveled a lot this summer and we got way behind on making all of our jam. My big reward for that is that we have been able to see Allyson every week of her life so far. She is growing like a weed and just such a sweet baby. I am already so excited about taking her to the pumpkin patch around this time next year!

Hallelujah!

Gloria and I finally finished our canning today. I am totally exhausted. After I started counting jars late this afternoon, I realized why. We made 90 jars today! We always wrap up jam by making our tripleberry (strawberry, raspberry and blackberry combined). We also made some strawberry rhubarb for the first time. I took a picture of all of our finished jars below, who wants to be our friend so they can get some of our goodies?
