Happy Halloween!

Oh the indignity of it all, the dogs were dressed up for 5 minutes or less. Fonzie is forced to dress in his leather jacket on this day every year. He actually doesn't mind too much unless he is trying to go up or down stairs. Duke and Roscoe hate everything that there is about dress up. Roscoe actually just lays down and tries to play dead or something until you get whatever is attached to his head off. I was amused but they were not. All was forgiven when they got their "treats" - a rawhide bone!

Build A Bear!

Today I went to a Build A Bear Party with my alumnae sorority group. Yes, we may be a little too old for this but we were building these critters to donate to them to kids at Children's Hospital. You can guess which one the dogs picked out! It was a great time, I seriously want to go back and build a black lab to add to my collection!

From the tree to the jar

Remember the pictures of my cherry tree way back? Well, they're jam now! I spent the day making jam with Gloria, we made 55 jars total - cherry, raspberry and blueberry. We're hoping to get the rest of our jam made next weekend!

Decorating for the season

Fall is absolutely my favorite season. I got out all of the Halloween and fall decorations on Friday night. I found my amazing dachshund signs on ebay, custom made by a woman in Michigan!

Duck Season!

Jason has been working on building a duck blind all summer. He and Doug finally got everything done last weekend.

Overseas visitors

Family O made the journey from Holland to meet Allyson. We got the chance to hang out with them and have dinner last weekend. Of course, I had to snag some time with the wee one too. Mom and baby are doing great. The dogs LOVE the baby. I think Carrie could go for some more sleep but I think that's true of any new mother!

Alaska

I have had some requests and some nagging from Jason to post pictures from his trip last month to Alaska so here goes! And yes, those are grizzly bear tracks!
