Leana and I were oh so exciting. We got up and took her dog, Lily, to the dog park. After Lily wore herself out, Leana and I met Mary Beth and Ellie for lunch at Boston Market. Ellie was quite entertaining like most 3 year olds are!

We spent the rest of the afternoon laying under the ceiling fan and watching movies.

After the driving tour of DC, Rachel, her sister Amy and I headed to Baltimore for an alumni gathering for my college. I rode home with Leana to Delaware to spend the next day with her.

Planes Trains and Automobiles Part 2

After sleeping off a late night at the bar, Rachel took me to the Hard Rock in DC. It was like 95 degrees at 11 AM so I elected to have a driving tour of the major landmarks in the area. I have pictures of the Capitol, Washington Monument, a really bad drive by of the White House, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the Air Force Memorial. We had all kinds of fun trying to capture good shots while in motion!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles Part 1

A 5 state adventure! It was actually 6 if you count Washington DC, but I was told by all of my friends, "it's a district!" Okay, whatever. I managed to visit Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey all in a period of about a week.

I started out in Virginia by crashing at my sorority sister Rachel's condo after taking the redeye from Seattle to Baltimore, MD. I caught the Amtrak train to DC to get to Rachel's. Even in my sleep deprived stupor, I stopped to take pictures of Penn Station in DC, it was beautiful. After sleeping all day, Rachel took me out to a new place for happy hour to meet up with other people from college. I got to see my sorority little sister Stacy and meet her fiance Jorge. I also got to see Amie Jo, another sorority sister, and my friend Vicki. It was so super fun to see them. I made a cop take pictures of Vicki and I by the cannons across the street from the bar. Can you say dereliction of duty? :)

Chuck it!

I pulled out the Chuck It tonight to throw the tennis ball for the big guys. At first, I didn't even have a tennis ball in and they were still jumping up and down they were so excited. They're passed out now, no more panting sounds. :)

Fruits of our labor

We noticed this spring that our cherry tree had quite a few blossoms. In the craze of all of my recent travels, I had forgotten to check for actual fruit. I went out today and saw that the tree was pretty loaded. So I did some picking!


The colander is totally full! We were pretty excited. They are yummy.
Jason worked on the gates on the right side of the wall today. It is done and totally operational.
We had a mason come out yesterday, we need to get some of the cracks filled in before setting all of the capstones. I think it looks great. I can't wait to tear down that eyesore of a crappy painted gray fence!
We didn't do too much this weekend. Jason helped Bill with haying yesterday and I had a sorority event. I spent today cleaning and doing all kinds of fun things around the house.

Thoughts and prayers requested

One of my best friends, Angie, lost her brother in a motorcycle accident early this morning. She is obviously devasted. She was maid of honor in our wedding. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
