Holy smokes!

I've had more requests for belly shots so here you go. We managed to get my other boys to pose too so I'm actually happy with the picture. When I looked at the size of my stomach, I realized just how much I am in denial about how huge I really am. My tummy really doesn't look this big when I look down at it every day. It's the side angle that does it justice!

Our newest edition....

Betsy had her calf on Thursday! We went down to Rainier today because Betsy needed a pedicure, she had severely cracked hooves. I just wanted to see the baby, she's so cute! I was forced to assist by sitting on the Gator and watching. Betsy finally had a girl - we named the new baby Junebug.

King of the Jungle......

My best friend Troy threw an amazing shower for me and baby last weekend. I love the banner, it's actually still hanging up on the wall. I love lions so this theme was perfect. There's actually still a lion balloon hanging on the end of the banister.
Baby got lots of great goodies - jungle and dog theme were prevalent in the gifts.
Baby is more than ready for bath time - he got plenty of bath toys and body wash.
The cake was the best I've ever had, Troy got it from Remo Borrachini's bakery in Seattle. It was so good that I know where I'll be getting my birthday cake from now on. There was a ton leftover and we ate it all!
I meant to take a group shot when everyone was there but things were too hectic when the party was in full swing. I got the majority of my main folks in it though so I have to take the victories where I can get them.
I finally got everything washed but still need to get it put away. We did some shopping over this weekend with our gift cards to get our remaining needed items. We're not quite done, but we're almost there!

Happy hours....

My shower with my local friends was last weekend. My friend Val (the blonde bundled in the coat on the left) came up from Phoenix for the weekend for the occasion. We headed up to Maggiano's for what could be the last time for me for awhile for happy hour with the group. Maggiano's is my absolute favorite restaurant, their food is amazing and I am absolutely addicted to their chocolate martinis (which I cannot have right now!) In any event, quite a few people showed up for the gathering and we had a great time even though our waiter was the worst ever.

Maybe a little spoiled....

We had our family shower in Rainier yesterday. Baby got lots of great stuff, it's going to take me awhile to sort everything out. The room is a mess!

Showering baby with love

Following my sorority exec meeting this past week, all of the ladies held a joint shower for the baby and for Jen who is getting married. We celebrated with yummy Pagliacci's pizza and cupcakes from Wink. Baby got lots of wonderful goodies. He'll only be naked if he wants to be for sure!

The wonders of technology

We went today for our 3D/4D ultrasound. If you are wondering what in the world you're looking at below, it's a funny story. Baby is low, really low, hunched into the left side of my pelvic bone. He was sound asleep and had no intentions of moving. I can't quite make out all of the details but here's how he was positioned. His fingers are over his nose and he actually has his foot up over his head with his toes going into his eyes as well. You could tell he has a face but he had it covered. I just don't see how it could be comfortable to sleep like this.
The technician seriously could not have been any nicer. She sent me out in search of a sugary drink (after verifying that I did not have gestational diabetes) to see if that would get him to wake up or move. So, we went over to McDonalds where I began drinking Coke as fast as I could while sitting in a very comfy chair in front of the fire but partially laying on my side. He seems to move more when I'm on my side. I finally felt some stirring so we rushed back. I got back on the table, he was still asleep but had been kind enough to move his hand and leg. His foot was still kinda next to his head so he had toes in his eyes. Nice right? He seemed to respond to my voice when I said certain things so we actually saw him open his eyes and smile a bit. And the tech could see parts so we know absolutely 100% for sure that he is really a boy. I was paranoid to start washing clothes until we went today. I think he looks like Jason with my nose, any other thoughts?
If you know someone looking for a place to get this done, please have them contact me. We had such a great experience and would love to send her any business we can!
